Clariter Selected by the EU Innovation Fund to Advance Its Konin Plastic Waste Upcycling Facility

The EU Innovation Fund has chosen Clariter’s Konin project for advisory support delivered by the European Investment Bank, adding a significant European institutional endorsement to the project’s growing momentum.

Warsaw, Poland, June, 2026 – Clariter SPV PL Sp. z o.o., a subsidiary of Clariter S.A., a global cleantech pioneer, today announced that it has been selected by the EU Innovation Fund to receive Project Development Assistance (PDA), delivered by the European Investment Bank (EIB). The agreement brings 12 months of expert advisory services to Clariter’s first commercial-scale plastic upcycling facility in Konin, Wielkopolska Province, Poland – at no cost to Clariter.

Selection for Innovation Fund Project Development Assistance is competitive and reflects the programme’s recognition of the Konin project as technically sound, strategically significant, and aligned with Europe’s clean industrial transition. The EIB will work directly alongside Clariter’s team across a comprehensive scope of workstreams, including governance and organizational review, Life Cycle Assessment, market analysis – covering green premium dynamics and cooling fluids applications – capital structure, financial modelling, and risk assessment.

The announcement follows Clariter’s recently signed grant agreement with the Polish government, under which the company will receive up to PLN 58.6 million in public funding to support the Konin investment. The facility will process 25,000 tonnes of post-consumer plastic waste annually, producing 20,000 tonnes of high-value solvents, oils and waxes as sustainable alternatives to fossil fuel-based petrochemicals.
